The City of Clarinda, the Glenn Miller Birthplace Society and Mr. Hideomi Aoki, President of the Glenn Miller Birthplace Society – Japan Branch, have announced plans to build a Glenn Miller Birthplace Museum in Clarinda, Iowa.  This museum will honor the legacy of Alton Glenn Miller by telling the exciting story of his life and music through photos, memorabilia and interesting exhibits. Our plans are to build a single story (geothermally heated and cooled) building on the property west of the Glenn Miller Birthplace Home. In addition, new property has been purchased south of the Glenn Miller Birthplace Home, providing greater visibility and room for expansion.

Groundbreaking will begin once $500,000 is raised. Grants and donations are sought locally, nationally and internationally. Your financial support will be greatly appreciated. Make checks payable to the Glenn Miller Birthplace Society – Museum Fund – 107 East Main Street, P.O. Box 61, Clarinda, Iowa 51632 USA.  All donations are tax-deductible.
